Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports

Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) is part of the Oregon School District's Multi-Level Systems of Support Model that addresses academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and mental health wellness needs of students.

At Oregon Middle School, we use a program called Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) to help students do well academically and behave positively. PBIS involves setting clear behavior expectations, doing activities to support good behavior, and giving students recognition when they follow these expectations.

We've created a list of behaviors we expect from students, and we make sure everyone knows and follows these rules. Both students and staff are involved in deciding these expectations and how we teach them.

We also have a school news show called OMS Live where we talk about PBIS and other school matters.
